The Museum is under construction.  New doors, walls, and pavement are all going in, so please excuse our progress.  This construction, along with cleaning the outside aircraft, will be ongoing, so please keep an eye on Facebook for updates that may change how you enter exhibit buildings.

Cleaning outdoor aircraft.

July was a busy month for our restoration crew.  The HU-16 Albatross is coming along.  The crew is working on the top of the aircraft and as you can see in the photos below, they have quite the view while working.  In addition to the Albatross, the B-17 is making slow and steady progress.  Rivets are being replaced, and the interior, including wiring,  is beginning to take shape.

Along with our aircraft, restoration worked diligently to create the Horsa Glider Theater; located in WWII.  This theater shows the movie, “Papa Said”, along with scrolling photos of aircraft and exhibits.  With just a push of a button, you can view the 20 minute film in the beautifully restored theater.  For more information on restoration and exhibits, please click here.
