The 19th Annual Georgia Invitational Golf Tournament, one of Georgia’s premier golf outings, will be held September 18-19, 2008 at Pine Oaks Golf Course at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The two-day Georgia Invitational Golf Tournament raises money for the Museum of Aviation, one of the largest education-focused aviation museums in America. Golfers have a choice of three tee times with separate prizes awarded for each 18-holes of golf.
A total of $30,000 worth of TaylorMade golf equipment and other prizes will be awarded to the top three 4-person teams in each round plus prizes for closest to the pin and long drives. The Honorary Chairman is U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss with former Senator Sam Nunn serving as the Tournament National Chairman. Several U.S. and state senators and congressmen participate in the tournament along with business and industry leaders and officials from Robins Air Force Base. Honorary Co-Chairmen are U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson and U.S. Congressmen Jim Marshall and Jack Kingston. The Tournament Committee Chairman is Eddie Wiggins, former Chairman of the Board of the Museum of Aviation Foundation, Inc. Golfers receive VIP treatment and all meals including the traditional Willow Lake “Plantation Supper” on Thursday in the Museum’s Century of Flight Hangar.
