We had a very special visitor at the Museum of Aviation on Thursday June 20, 2019 —Sgt Chris Mauro. Mauro was a part of the 9th OMS, 9th SRW that brought our Blackbird to Robins AFB from Beale AFB, in 1990.
Also pictured, is Mauro receiving a signed copy of “God is my Co-Pilot” from Gen Robert Scott. “I still have that book. You can see I have my SR-71 Crew Chief hat hanging on my belt.” We are honored that Mr. Mauro decided to visit us 29 years later!
